Accessibility statement
LocalRoseville.com is committed to making this site usable by everyone in Roseville, including people with disabilities.
Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort, reviewed as the site changes.
What we've built in
- An accessibility toolbar on every page (bottom-left) with larger text, high contrast, grayscale, link highlighting, a readable font, reduced motion, a big cursor and a reading guide.
- A skip-to-main-content link as the first item for keyboard users.
- Semantic landmarks, one H1 per page, and a logical heading order.
- Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and labels on all form fields.
- Visible focus indicators and full keyboard operation, including the AI chat.
- Color contrast checked against WCAG AA for text and interactive elements.
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
- Responsive layout that supports zoom to 200% without loss of content.
Third-party content
Some content — embedded videos, maps, and links to city or business websites — is provided by third parties whose accessibility we do not control. We choose accessible sources where possible and will help you get the same information another way.
Known limitations
Automated weather and air-quality data comes from external providers and may briefly be unavailable. Embedded video players follow YouTube's own accessibility features.
Report a barrier
If anything on this site blocks you, tell us and we'll fix it — and provide the content you needed in an accessible format in the meantime. Use our contact form and choose "Accessibility issue." We aim to respond within 3 business days.
